The national integrated studies (PEI) program: a different approach to higher education.
This initiative aims to encourage motivated pupils of limited means to pursue post-secondary studies and helps them prepare for the Sciences Po network-wide first-year entrance exam.
More than two thirds of the pupils in the program passed their high school exit exam with honors or the highest honors. Ninety percent of these pupils continue on to a degree program, and nearly 30% of candidates successfully enroll in a political science program.
The Sciences Po Rennes PEI program is offered at middle and high schools in western France and Reunion Island with support from the regional councils and school boards of Brittany, Normandy and Pays de la Loire. Students are selected on the basis of financial resources, academic performance and their degree of motivation. Sciences Po Rennes aims to widen access to 1,000 under-represented students in 2025.

The PEI program gave me confidence, in myself and my career goals. I learned to be more ambitious and not let preconceptions hold me back. The program helped me develop good study habits and general knowledge that made me see the world differently.
A Scientific PEI program
The Scientific PEI program is coordinated by INSA Rennes, the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Rennes (ENSCR) and Sciences Po Rennes. It offers preparatory courses for final-year high school pupils majoring in science who wish to enroll at a scientific grande école.
